Then, start dismantling the old wire rope. Turn off the elevator power, stop the elevator at a suitable location (such as the middle floor or the top floor), and confirm that there is no one in the car and the machine room. Use the wire rope tensioner to check whether the tension of the wire rope is uniform. If the tension is uneven, adjust it in time. After that, use the wire rope clamp to fix the old wire rope on the shaft wall or the wire rope tensioner, and then use the wire rope cutter to cut the old wire rope, and remove the cut old wire rope from the shaft, and thoroughly clean the site .
Then, install the new wire rope. Carry the new wire rope drum or coil to the top of the car and prepare it. Someone needs to help straighten the wire rope in the pit and the bottom of the car, and pull the new wire rope from the bottom of the car around the wheel to the top of the car. As the car runs, pass the new wire rope through the traction wheel and the counterweight wheel. When one end of the new wire rope rises to the appropriate position again with the car, make a rope head rod at the counterweight or machine room. After that, check to make sure that the wire rope is correctly installed in all wheel grooves, tighten the other end of the new wire rope, cut it after leaving an appropriate margin, and make a rope head rod at the car or machine room .
Finally, do the finishing work. Check whether the tension of all wire ropes is uniform to ensure the smooth operation of the elevator. Clean up the site and return the used tools and equipment to their original positions. Communicate with relevant departments to confirm that the elevator can be restored to normal use.
